I just finished reading The Perfume Collector by Kathleen Tessaro. Her words and descriptions are beautiful. My friends loved the book and I appreciate how beautifully written the book is – but I am more of a guns, danger, love and bad guys kind of story and this is not that kind of story.
This is the story of a woman (actually 2 women) trying to make her way in the world and find herself at a time when choices for women were limited. I discussed it with my friends and they usually don’t read chick lit but they said this book is chick lit at its finest. I have to agree. I am not necessarily a chick lit gal, but if I was, this is the kind of story I would love. Check it out and let me know what you think.
