Sorry I haven’t updated the blog or mailing list. My office and house are a shambles. We had a leaking pipe in the ceiling we thought we caught in time – we were wrong. The next day the ceiling in the office collapsed and then a few days later another plumbing issue flooded our family room and kitchen.
I also had to attend a funeral for a dear friend, someone I’ve known longer then my husband. I can’t wait until this month is over, September will be better.
During all of this I continued to write, to work on writing projects. I did the final edits on the second book, started drafting the third book in the series and worked on some other copy for other projects. I had to use my laptop (the one I use to work on while I rode the train) and Wi-Fi at my gym.
My point here is being consistent, being able to move forward in the chosen thing, despite the obstacles. Life gets in the way, all the time, and if you choose to work at something, to be successful at it, takes persistence and the ability to rise above the obstacles that get in the way. Whatever you choose, be focused and push past the obstacles.
