For years creativity was thought to be governed by the right side of the brain, however recent studies indicate that both sides of the brain work together to accomplish not only creative tasks, but mathematical tasks as well.
In one study by researchers at the University of Utah, Dr. Jeff Anderson, the lead author, explained, “It’s absolutely true that some brain functions occur in one or the other side of the brain. Language tends to be on the left, attention more on the right. But people don’t tend to have a stronger left- or right-sided brain network. It seems to be determined more connection by connection.” http://psychology.about.com/od/cognitivepsychology/a/left-brain-right-brain.htm
But what about all those tests on line that test your left or right brain dominance? Like this one

What do they mean? It means just have fun with them and don’t take them too seriously.
You don’t need a test to tell you that you are creative, just create something everyday; a few lines for a book you are writing, a new way to prepare a meal, or a new work out routine, these are all opportunities to use your creativity.
