Like most working people, I don’t ever have enough time and I can always use more money. So here are some creative tips that will save you both.
- It takes ten minutes to make a hard-boiled egg. Make a half-dozen on the weekend and you will have breakfast you can take with you as you run out the door. It will be healthier and cost you less than the danish and coffee you buy when you get to work.
- Use a Daily Shower Cleaner – Spraying the shower takes less than ten minutes. Spraying every day will keep soap scum from building up, which will make cleaning the shower faster and easier. If you don’t want to buy a commercial cleaner, fill a spray bottle up with 2 parts white vinegar and 1 part water and spray on after showering.
- Make coffee at home and save a lot of time and money. My husband used to buy a cup of coffee every day from the local coffee house. At $2.00 a cup it came to over sixty dollars a month. Now he buys a large bag of organic coffee for less than ten dollars and it lasts all month, plus he doesn’t have to wait in line. If your mornings are total chaos, invest in a coffee maker with a timer and make your coffee the night before. Make sure you have plenty of commuter mugs on hand.
- Have your clothes ready the night before – you will not have to think about it in the morning when you are rushing out the door.
- Clip coupons and sort junk mail while you are watching television.
I’m always looking for ways to stretch my time and my dollars.
For stretching my dollars I like the dollar stretcher ( http://www.stretcher.com/ )
For time I haven’t found a website that specializes in just this, though I’ve found many articles around the web. If you have suggestion for a website that specialzes in time saving tips, drop me comment or an email.
